Our friend, Bob Chagnon, who retired from DATTCO in 2019, recruited our help to secure two buses and replacement parts to be shipped to Nigeria as part of his work with the nonprofit The Africa Education Partnership. It’s time for another “Thanks & Giving” story…DATTCO school bus driver Paula Levesque (Burrillville, RI - Bus 2) lost her dad recently and was compelled to do a good deed in his honor. She purchased travel coffee mugs and gifted them to ALL her co-workers! On the cup was a quote, her father’s favorite saying “Do a good deed no matter your mood it will make you feel better no matter what”. Inside of each cup was a warm set of winter gloves. BOSTON COMMUTERS: Service to and from the University of Massachusetts has been suspended and will resume in late January. Unfortunately, ridership between South Coastal Massachusetts and Boston remains very low. Service will continue to operate on the reduced schedule for the foreseeable future. Connecticut State Police March 10 at 3:48 PM · Connecticut State Police & Southington Police escorted the 102nd Infantry Battalion of the CT Army National Guard as they deploy to the Horn of Africa. More than 500 men and women leave the state today to serve CT and the USA, including four State Troopers and several municipal police officers. Students from DePaolo Middle School applauded the soldiers as they departed. We salute these citizen soldiers and wish them a safe mission!
