David Thiel, M.D. is a urologist in the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Florida, with a joint appointment in the Division of Epidemiology, Department of Health Sciences Research. Dr. Thiel holds the academic rank of Professor of Urology, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and is the Medical Director of Mayo Clinic Hospital.
Dr. Thiel’s clinical interests include laparoscopic and robotic surgery for malignant and benign urologic conditions, kidney stone surgery, prostate obstruction, and robotic and laparoscopic reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Theil has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and holds reviewer responsibilities for several prominent publications as well. He is certified by the American Board of Urology.
