Our son, Leo was diagnosed with Saggital Craniosynostosis at just 6 weeks old. Although this was one of the scariest times in our lives, we had complete faith that God would take care of our baby. He had surgery with Dr. Jimenez at 10 weeks old and everything went smoothly. We spent 24 hours in the hospital and Leo was all smiles by morning. We were blessed with such a wonderful surgeon and orthotist (Darren), who successful managed his helmet therapy. Leo wore his helmets for a total of 15 months. He is 2 years old today and is so active and happy. He has continued to thrive and it’s hard to imagine he has been through so much. We are so grateful!

September is Chiari awareness month. I thank God everyday for placing the amazing Dr Jimenez into our lives. He saved our son! There were days I didn't know if I would get the call that he didn't wake up from an episode. I cannot thank El Paso Children's hospital and Dr. Jimenez enough. It has been a year since the scariest day of my life. This kid is now thriving and he and his brother will be 6 tomorrow.

Miracle Monday goes out to strong and brave, Julian.
Julian is a 2 year old twin and brother of three who was born with a cleft lip and his pediatrician, Dr. Rich recommended Julian and his family to Dr. Yates, Medical Director for the Cranial and Facial Clinic at El Paso Children’s Hospital and Dr. Holguin, Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who works hand and hand with our EPCH Cranial and Facial team.
Julian underwent a few surgeries leading to a cleft repair and lip repair. “Dr. Yates and Dr. Holguin were always a call or text away, they are amazing. It is such a blessing to know all doctors are local. They encouraged me to build a Facebook family support group to connect families in El Paso who’s lives have been affected by cleft lip or palate called Embracing

My daughter had to have a biopsy and I was scared out of my mind. Dr. Jimenez was the best choice for this procedure. The first Dr. I went to just gave me one option Dr. Jimenez gave me 3 options and made sure that I was comfortable with the choice that I made. He was the best. He was so caring with my daughter he also made sure not to cut her hair. My daughter loves her hair and she was so worried about losing her hair. Dr. Jimenez went above and beyond to make sure that her hair stayed in tack. I can go on and on about how great of a surgeon Dr. Jimenez is. For those parents that are worried about the care of their child or any loved one Dr. Jimenez is by far the best choice for brain surgery needs. Five stars is not nearly enough for the amazing job Dr. Jimenez did.

Oh hi. When did you grow up? 😭💔I looked at this picture and almost started crying. Where does the time go? It is so cruel.
This week was the 7 year anniversary of my boy’s craniectomy. When the doctors first realized he had #craniosynostosis they told us he would be handicapped. Now here we are, at the start of 1st grade. He is bilingual, insanely good at math (in 2 languages no less), creative, a super athlete... he amazes me every day. I would have taken him however the Lord gave him to me- handicapped or not. But I am so thankful for his bright future and will forever be indebted to @ashley.mcginity, her husband, @drdavidfjimenez, @lisabishopjimenez, and the rest of the team that cared for Hank and our family. ❤️ #craniowarrior #hankdalt #sagittalcraniosynostosis
