Dr. David Steflik is passionate about taking care of children of all ages, starting with prenatal care through adolescence and beyond., Dr. Steflik is a pediatric cardiologist based in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and also works at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and a residency in pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He returned south to complete a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following his fellowship, he completed fourth year sub-specialty training in cardiovascular imaging, specializing in echocardiography and fetal echocardiography. His clinical interests include the longitudinal care of newborns, infants, children and adolescents with congenital heart disease. He enjoys educating patients and their families about cardiac conditions so they better understand the disease as well as the care that he helps provide., He is enthusiastic about bringing pediatric subspecialty care to the Grand Strand and providing a needed resource to families and providers of the area. He is an active member of the community and of the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation, acting as medical advisory board member.
