Dr. David Kriegel, M.D. is a renowned Mohs skin cancer expert and cosmetic and laser surgeon at Schweiger Dermatology Group in New York City.
Dr. Kriegel has been practicing Mohs micrographic and laser surgery since 1994. He received his undergraduate degree at Columbia University and did his medical school and residency training at hospitals affiliated with Harvard Medical School, Boston University School of Medicine and Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Kriegel completed his fellowship in Mohs and Reconstructive Surgery at SUNY Stony Brook.
Dr. Kriegel has been the director of the Division of Dermatologic and Mohs Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City since 1997. Dr. Kriegel has also been the director of the Mohs Surgery Fellowship program at Mount Sinai Medical Center since 2003.
Dr. Kriegel has published numerous academic articles and book chapters on Mohs surgery, skin cancer and dermatologic surgery. He has lectured throughout the country on various dermatologic topics, including skin cancer and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Kriegel appears frequently in the media, in such national magazines as Cosmopolitan, Reader’s Digest, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, The New York Times and has appeared on Lou Dobbs on CNN.
