While this nose is different than yesterday’s #preservationrhinoplasty this young woman had a similar complaint and in particular wanted to change the lower third and tip aesthetics. She also had a very small bump and slightly over projecting dorsum. The entire procedure was CLOSED! There are no external scars on the nose! This is an on table result of today’s #preservationrhinoplasty case. It was a CLOSED, scarless procedure. Patient desired to reduce the hump but even more important to her was changing the lower third of her nose. Changing the tip aesthetics from being short, round and blunted with excess columellar show to a beautiful properly projecting tip. These things are very often not adequately addressed during rhinoplasty either because the problem isn’t recognized or it is inadequately treated due to an unsatisfactory technical approach. #Results matter! The dorsum was also completely preserved in lowering the hump. Because the skin was minimally dissected off the nose (as is done in traditional approach to rhinoplasties) her recovery will be much quicker with minimal swelling and almost never any bruising!
