The coronavirus pandemic has forced many businesses to close, including stores and restaurants. While these shutdowns have made it more difficult for us to get everyday items or perhaps a meal at our favorite diner, they’ve also had a similar effect on certain pests — namely rodents. Rodents are incredibly resourceful and are already adapting their behaviors to find new sources of food and water. Dr. Jim Fredericks, chief entomologist for the National Pest Management Association, explains how rodent behavior is changing as a result of social distancing, as well as how you can keep your family and property protected.

Hyres Pest Control is still operating as normal. Over the next few weeks the weather temps are fluctuating but not getting very cold so we are going to see an increase in pests. Please call us if you have an emergency situation.
