Trump lies about immigrants because he thinks it will help him stay in power.
Allowing him to frame the immigration conversation will result a Defeat for America in November.
He’s doing it to divide and create distrust in our country, community and neighborhoods.
His lies are crafted - simple and effective and I hate to say, right now, he's winning.
We have TRUTH on our side but we HAVE to learn how to tell it.
We ALL have an immigrant's adventure story in our family tree.
Someone in each of our families decided to risk life and limb, leaving behind their lives, their friends, their relatives, and traded it all for an unknown future.
They came here for opportunity. For justice. For FREEDOM.
When we fail to fight for the values that our ancestors came here for, the risks they took for US were for nothing!
I can’t imagine how many of them would be rolling over in their graves if they knew what was happening in our country right now.
It is 100% wrong that taxpayer funds are being used to deport students, servicemen and young immigrants who are working hard and acting like model American citizens in every possible way.
It is 100% factuallh wrong to say that immigrants are responsible for a higher proportion of Crime than Americans.
It is 100% wrong to cry wolf, presume guilt and permanently separate families seeking asylum without so much as a hearing.
This November, if we arent visible and vocal and VOTING - the lies win and America Loses.
Make no mistake - they are prepared and its easier to LIE than tell the truth.
And they’ve laid some traps that are REALLY EASY to fall for.
