Using the two Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo distillery, which were imported from Scotland to Japan in 1963, Nikka has produced a number of single cask single grain whiskies from time to time over the years. This, however, is their larger release of wonderfully exotic single grain whisky. Hooray, and it’s now available at Debb’s – Messina’s!
Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon
• Nose: A lovely aroma of baked goods is front and center with vanilla, cinnamon, apples, and brown butter almost making you believe that a piece of streusel in front of you. The sweetness is complete with loads of caramel too.
• Palate: The palate picks up a bit of rye spice character along with some cinnamon heat that adds some depth. Otherwise, the sweetness of the nose transforms into caramel candies and toasted citrus zest. There is also a small amount of oak present as well.
• Finish: The finish is a medium-lasting one consisting of more toasted orange zest, cinnamon, and clove. The rye spice still hangs around and is kind of welcome due to the added complexity it brings.

Over the years hundreds have attempted to mimic Combier Liqueur d'Orange's authentic taste using synthetic flavoring, shortcuts in the production process, and alterations in alcohol content - all to no avail.
Combier's all-natural recipe has never been altered from the original painstaking process. The Combier distillery steadfastly preserves its tradition of handcrafted distillation as opposed to resorting to the use of cheap industrial essences and artificial dyes as with the vast majority of liqueurs and cordials marketed today and if you’ve been searching for the Triple Sec experience, you’ll find it at Debb’s – Messina’s with locations throughout the Golden Triangle!
Luxardo Maraschino Originale is still produced according to a special formula created by Girolamo Luxardo in 1821.
When Luxardo marasca cherries are harvested at the beginning of every summer, they are put in alcoholic infusion in larch-wood vats together with some leaves and branches of the same trees for up to three years. When ready, both the liquid and the solid parts are distilled in traditional copper pot stills, separating the heart from heads and tails. Only the heart of the distillate is then allowed to mature in ash-wood vats and taste results smooth but sharp at the same time with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, and orange marmalade. The tall green bottle with its red cap is still hand-plaited in straw within the company and resembles the Maraschino bottles produced in Zara in the early days, where the straw was placed in order to prevent damage during transportation and yours is waiting for you at all 5 Debb’s – Messina’s locations in Southeast Texas!

Orin Swift Papillon Napa Red Blend 2018
