Calorie in and calorie out is the old theory of obesity. We now know that weight gain is mix of many different sources of inflammation and some of that is from how we raise food in the US. Organic is better for you and please ignore all the propaganda from the food industry. SCIENCEDIRECT.COM Agrochemicals and obesity
What the heck is Reiki and how can it help you and your loved ones during COVID??? https://www.facebook.com/pg/InstinctiveWellness/events/?ref=page_internal https://youtu.be/-X8z7kX9S-I YOUTUBE.COM Reiki Intro
I have been fairly quiet about COVID as that data has been evolving as we get better at understanding the whole picture and how to collect the data. But it is clear that a lot of disinformation is being spread around that is not supported by science. And it has gotten harder and harder to know who to believe. I am working on some videos to help explain what we know and where some of the conspiracy theories have abandoned common sense and science. This includes the video that was posted by yesterday "America's Front Line Doctors" where they shared their bizarre and misguided opinions that are not founded in science and actual data. Clearly, the way the US is handling this pandemic is inadequate. Look at the table below. We are the top in number of deaths and the 3 other countries that are underneath us have all be more lax in the lockdown measures and it shows. The countries that took lockdown seriously are doing much better. This directly refutes their claim that lock downs are not necessary. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

As the COVID numbers spike, we all need to consider our plans for the holidays because practicing our traditions as usual is likely going to put your closest loved ones at risk. Data is now showing that a large percentage of the transmissions are happening at small family gatherings. And this makes sense....how many of us get sick after Thanksgiving or Christmas in a normal year? There is no way to completely reduce the risk, but doing the best we can is a worthy goal. Here are the suggestions from the CDC on regards to holidays this year. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.html CDC.GOV Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Anyone, who is not living outside or in year round sunny place with lots of outdoor time, will likely need Vitamin D supplementation this winter. Most of us drop too low over the winter and this is one of the reasons why colds and the flu are so rampant in the winter. This year with COVID, it is VITAL that you do your best to maintain a healthy level because all estimates show that we will have a massive spike throughout the world during the winter months and we are starting to see that all ready. The correct dose for Vitamin D is different for everyone and too much is also not healthy. Please see your provider to have a Vitamin D test done to determine the dose you will need. Also please continue to wear your masks and social distance! https://www.bumc.bu.edu/busm/2020/09/25/adequate-levels-of-vitamin-d-reduces-complications-death-among-covid-19-patients/ BUMC.BU.EDU Adequate Levels of Vitamin D Reduces Complications, Death Among COVID-19 Patients | School of Medicine
I got COVID at the very end of February and I am still needing extra breathing support with nebulizers as well as having intermittent tachycardia. The numbers of people who end with long term chronic illness from COVID is rising. And we are seeing estimates of 5-20% of people end up in this category. This virus is real and is causing so much more damage than our typical yearly flu. Please be safe, wear your masks and practice social distancing. NYTIMES.COM At 12, She’s a Covid ‘Long Hauler’

We can help you figure out what your body needs! CHRISKRESSER.COM Why Quality Trumps Quantity When it Comes to Diet | Chris Kresser Chris Kresser December 4, 2020 at 3:50 PM · For years, researchers have debated which diet is best for weight loss: low-fat or low-carb. Now, a robust long-term study has settled the question once and for all. The answer? There’s no one-size-fits-all, but any weight loss diet should emphasize real food. Check out my article below to learn more about why quality trumps quantity when it comes to diet.

This is free until the end of the month and will likely be very helpful in figuring out what your body needs! ACCESS.SACREDCOW.INFO Watch The Sacred Cow Movie For FREE Chris Kresser November 24, 2020 at 7:55 PM · Cowspiracy. What the Health. Forks Over Knives. The Game Changers. These are just a few of the anti-meat, pro-vegan documentaries that have made a splash over the past several years, wrongly convincing who knows how many unsuspecting people that “meat is bad” for our health, the environment, and our moral well-being. Never mind that these films make a mockery of the scientific evidence on this topic. They were persuasive, and most people don’t have the background or scientific knowledge to be able to debunk the claims that are made. Well, I’m happy to report that we finally have a film that tells the other side of the story. It’s called Sacred Cow, and it will be available for viewing for a limited time only from now through November 30. Sacred Cow proposes a new way to look at sustainable diets. The film takes a deep dive into the nutritional claims against meat, explains why cattle raised well are actually good for the environment, and addresses the ethical considerations surrounding killing animals for food. The truth is, you cannot have life without death, and eliminating animals from our food system could cause more harm than good. But even if this way of raising animals is better than our current system, surely you can’t feed the world this way, right? Yep, they tackle that, too! It’s one of the most important films of the year and the coming decades. This is a limited-time, free screening. After that, you’ll have to pay to watch the film. Be sure to sign up below now to watch it for free. #sacredcow
