Transporting a uniquely Japanese hospitality experience to a new country is easy – well, no: it’s incredibly hard and nuanced. But it can be done through the right partnership. Plan Do See – creator of Azabu Miami – is voted a top-ten hospitality group in Japan with a portfolio of 5-star hotels and Michelin awarded restaurants.
They flew us to Japan to experience the true meaning of their core message of spreading omotenashi to the world meant.
Needless to say this is one of those projects we will take with us till the end.

We are honored to have received not one, but two stamps of Webby approval for our design of 1st.com. Given that our intentions in working with the Stronach Group were to propel the sport of horseracing into the modern-day, the Webby’s recognition of 1/ST as one of the top general sports websites of 2020 is a solid indicator that our plan is working.
We were nominated for two categories – best website navigation structure and best general sports website. Our competitors included creative powerhouses such as Google Creative Lab and ESPN, but we managed to triumph in the general sports website category. It was humbling to see our work compete against groups that we respect so greatly, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in pushing the boundaries of design for our partners.
