What do you do if you experience a dental emergency?

First, stay calm and contact us as soon as possible. Next, hold your tooth just by the crown (which is the part that is used to chew food) and gently rinse with water. Be sure not to agitate the tooth or tissue that surrounds the tooth, and do not use any other substance to rinse aside from water.
If your tooth fell out, the best way to preserve it is to hold it in the socket that it came from. If this is not viable, then place the tooth in a container of milk and rinse your mouth gently with warm water.

Karen joined our team in 2019, and has been in the dental field since 2008. She is the fourth generation in her family to work in the dental field following after her great grandfather, Dr. Charles Freeman; grandfather, Dr. Theodore Pauly; and her father, Dr. James Pauly.
Karen began as a chair-side assistant and over time has been trained in all areas of the office. She enjoys all aspects of the dentistry, especially keeping up with the latest techniques and dental technology! Outside of the office, Karen has spent most of her free time volunteering as a foster home to local rescues for dogs and she and her fiancé currently own 3 rescue dogs.
