Did you know?? Gum disease is an oral condition caused by bacteria and plaque growth on the teeth and gums which causes inflammation and other more serious symptoms such as bleeding gums and pain. It has been discovered that plaque and gum disease can also influence conditions like hearth disease and stroke - certainly we do not want to encourage by a lack of attention to good oral hygiene. To maintain a good oral hygiene routine: 1st- Brush regularly but not aggressively. Brushing twice a day and using dental floss can help keep teeth and gums in good condition. 2nd- Use fluoride toothpaste. 3rd- Floss once a day. Flossing can remove plaque and bacteria from between the teeth. 4th- Last but not least, it is very important to keep up with your routine dental cleanings, besides for preventing gum disease, your dental hygienist can remove most of the stains that dull and discolor your teeth, so you’ll be left with a brighter, whiter smile.
