Sports help kids stay healthy, and mouth guards help smiles stay healthy! Mouth guards are vital for lessening the impact to the face or mouth and reducing the risk of broken teeth. When you consider that children between the ages of 5 and 14 account for almost 40% of all sports-related injuries, we can easily see why taking every precaution, especially wearing a mouth guard, is so important.
As sports in MN begin, remember to sanitize and keep your distance, and if you’re interested in a mouthguard for your child or yourself, contact us today!

It is National Hygienist Month, and today, we are recognizing our incredible hygienist, Ronnie!
Q: What is the proudest moment of your career?
A: "The proudest moments of my career are seeing my patients' reactions while discussing their results after they’ve received periodontal treatment (a treatment prescribed to combat periodontal disease. It involves both scaling and root planing, meaning tartar must be removed from deep between the teeth and gums.) Seeing positive results lets me know that the treatment the patients received along with the oral hygiene aftercare instructions have made a positive impact on their oral health and self-care.
Q: How do you help improve a patient’s overall health?
A: "My role in helping patients improve their overall health is to educate them on the connections between oral health and the rest of the body. More than half of the US population experiences a stage of periodontal disease so it is important for me to be the educator in the connection between oral bacteria, the bloodstream, and the rest of the body systems."
