It's not something we see a ton of, thanks to awareness and protective measures but occasionally we do see frostbite in our office.
🔸It's most common on fingers, toes, nose, ears and cheeks
🔸Could happen when temps drop below freezing
You can prevent it by....
🔸Wearing 2 pair of socks (moisture-wicking, then wool on top of that)
🔸Protecting your head and ears (heavy wool or fleece)
🔸Cover your hands (insulated mittens)
🔸Stay hydrated (dehydration increases your risk)
Signs of frostbite:
❄️stinging
❄️redness
❄️burning
❄️throbbing
❄️prickling sensation
❄️numbness
Medical attention is typically required, as rapid rewarming, prevention of further cold exposure, and restoring circulation are key.

When you dry your face too much after a cleanse, products have a harder time penetrating the skin- lightly damp skin works better for the absorption of moisturizers.
Plus rubbing dry with a towel causes friction and unnecessary irritation.
⭐side note: if you're using a retinoid you want your skin to be completely dry before you apply.⭐ --if not it could be more irritating.
