Excellent guidelines to protect your dog’s precious paws from burns and heat injuries!
The hot pavement will burn your dogs' paws. Our doctors saw 2 cases of burned paws yesterday alone.
Our annual staff pumpkin carving contest is in full swing today and tomorrow! The pumpkins are set up outside the clinic. We would appreciate you voting when you visit us with your pet these 2 days. Happy Halloween!
Even after replacing our phone system before Thanksgiving we are still experiencing phone issues. If you can not get thru during normal business hours please try 855-6032. It is one line that works more often than not. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dear Clients,
It is with much sadness that we are forced to close our doors for a minimum of 10 days effective immediately. Despite all of our efforts to keep our staff safe, we are experiencing an outbreak of COVID 19. We have only a few healthy employees right now so please pray for us all.
We are going to try to have a healthy staff member answer phones, email records if needed and fill prescriptions and dispense meds in the mornings next week from 8-12noon. Please understand you will pay on the phone, and your meds or food will be placed on the cement bench. Please do not make any contact with our staff member at this time.
We hope to reopen with a healthy group possibly December 28, however that is not known for sure at this time.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience. We would all much rather be at work helping your pets.
Merry Christmas,
Dr. Hopp and Dr. Klein

Merry Christmas to you all. We hope you and your pets are well. We are still closed due to COVID until Monday Dec 28th at 8am. We will have a limited healthy staff availability to help our current clients on Monday. We appreciate everyone's patience during this very challenging time of closure and quarantine. Thank you. Dr Hopp
We are still experiencing intermittent phone issues with our new phone system. Please try calling 855-4088 or 855-4141 for assistance during office hours. You can also email us at info@deserteastanimalhospital.com with questions.
Thank you for your continued understanding while we work on a solution. Dr Hopp
We would like to welcome our new associate veterinarian Dr. Allison Deugwillo to our team of veterinarians! Dr. Deugwillo grew up in Maryland where she attended the University of Maryland and competed on the university equestrian team. Shortly after, she attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2013. Afterwards she accepted an equine medicine and surgery internship at Chino Valley Equine Hospital in California. In 2014, she moved back to the east coast and became a resident farm vet on a large breeding farm. Deciding to seek new opportunities and warner weather, Dr. Deugwillo moved to the southwest and joined Desert East Animal Hospital. When she is not working, she enjoys camping and hiking with her dogs. Drs. Klein and Hopp are very pleased to have her as part of our team. Please welcome her the next time you speak with her!
