Today is Veterans Day in the United States, which originally marked the end of the "War to End All Wars," World War I, in 1918. It was called Armistice Day for a number of years, but was formally identified by Congress as Veterans Day in 1968--the same year these photos were taken in Vietnam with the 34th Engineer Battalion.
As a scholar once said about veterans, "we don't know them all, but we owe them all." Thank you all for your service, today, and every day.
