Many of my clients are experiencing a shortage in staff! You will also be given a first responders pass to travel to and from work during lockdown hrs. Jd@davisconsultinggroup.us 312 478-7876 Principal Duties/Responsibilities: • Teach all of the specific skills required in active treatment plans. • Observe functioning or residents and record responses in the progress notes. • Increase professional knowledge by such activities as participation in staff training. • Utilize skills of outside resources in the development of residents’ active treatment plans. • Write progress reports on each resident’s active treatment program daily. • Complete midnight census reports and bed check log daily. • Provide supervision to small groups of residents to develop housekeeping skills. • Provide supervision for residents to develop self-help and cooking skills. • Accompany small groups of residents on outside activities, shopping, movies, church, restaurants, and doctor appointments, etc. • Meet with CILA Team Leader or RSD on a monthly basis or as needed. • Perform other tasks as directed. * Non-essential duties Mental/Physical Demands: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructional materials, operating instructions, books, catalogues, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental Conditions: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is performed in a residential or classroom environment. Specifications: Position requires high school diploma or equivalent. Position requires an individual be a certified Habilitation Aide or successful completion of the Habilitation Aide training program within a six-month period, and medication supervision training. Have a valid/current driver’s license and annually clear the Agency screening process. Demonstrate the experiences, belief, attitude and awareness that indicate cultural sensitivity to the client population served. Ability to partner with clients individually, in family, to help them mobilize resources and their inner capacity to address problems they face.
