Dnesco’s communication technology division is staffed with IBEW Local 494 technicians that are OSHA-10 certified who follow BICSI standards and TIA/EIA Building Telecommunications Wiring Standards. Dnesco was purchased in November of 1997 by Joseph Klein and became Dnesco Electric, Inc. Dnesco has since enjoyed steady growth and has continued to provide quality commercial and industrial electrical work in Southeastern Wisconsin. Dnesco experienced further growth with the acquisition of Elm-Brook Electric in 2002. This merger allowed Dnesco to strengthen its design/build department and bring together more resources to better serve its customers. In 2007 Dnesco acquired Meer Electric. This acquisition allowed Dnesco to capitalize on Meer Electric’s vast customer base, quality employees, and tools. In 2010 Dnesco Electric expanded its capabilities to include a Communication/Data division. The addition of a Comm/Data division allowed Dnesco to provide a more complete service to many of its customers. In 2007 Dnesco acquired Meer Electric. This acquisition allowed Dnesco to capitalize on Meer Electric’s vast customer base, quality employees, and tools. Joe Klein, President of Dnesco, entered the electrical contracting business as a Material Handler in 1969. He later completed his Apprenticeship, became a Journeyman Electrician, a Foreman, and then a Superintendent. Before purchasing Dnesco, Joe was the Vice President of Operations at another local electrical contracting firm. In addition to Joe's daily duties at Dnesco, he is currently Chairman of the Milwaukee Area Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).
