Job Title: Field Collector (a.k.a. Poop Scooper)
Position type: Part-time
Northwest Territory: Algonquin,Barrington, Inverness, Lake in the Hills, South Barrington, and Streamwood
Work Days: Monday through Friday. Route takes about 2 hours on Mondays, 3 hours on Tuesdays, 2 hours on Wednesdays, 6 hours on Thursdays, and 2 hours on Fridays for a total of 15 hours weekly. This route is growing and more houses will be added soon.
Work Hours: The work can be completed at any time of the assigned day as long as there is daylight.
Compensation: Pays approximately $300.00 weekly, or the equivalent of $20/hr.
Job Summary: We have an immediate need for a Field Collector (a.k.a Poop Scooper) in our Northwest Territory. As a Field Collector you will travel from customer-to-customer collecting dog waste utilizing a shovel and lobby pan. All tools and equipment are provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Drive to assigned customer locations and collect dog waste
2. Complete houses in the mobile app
3. Dispose of collected dog waste via assigned location
Position Requirements:
1. Must have experience laboring outside
2. Valid driver's license and car insurance
3. Pass a criminal background check
4. Have reliable transportation
5. Basic technological skills including ability to send and receive email, use a mobile phone for calling/texting, and GPS for navigation.
6. Must be willing to work in all weather including HOT; COLD, RAIN, SNOW, etc...
Education and Experience: This position requires at least a High School Diploma. No prior dog waste removal experience is required, however it is preferred. Must be independent, energetic, reliable, accountable, and have good communication skills.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's important to make sure that your pet does not get into your candy stash. There are many food products that have moved to using Xylitol as a sweetener to replace sugar. Xylitol is very toxic to dogs, causing their blood sugar to drop. Some common things that may contain xylitol are chewing gum, cough drops, toothpaste, candy, mints, diet supplements, protein bars, nut butters.
"Symptoms of xylitol poisoning in dogs include vomiting, followed by symptoms associated with the sudden lowering of your dog’s blood sugar, such as decreased activity, weakness, staggering, incoordination, collapse and seizures.
If you think your dog has eaten xylitol, take him to your vet or an emergency animal hospital immediately. Because hypoglycemia and other serious adverse effects may not occur in some cases for up to 12 to 24 hours, your dog may need to be hospitalized for medical monitoring."

Since the 1950's, Disneyland has allowed these cats to roam the park to help eradicate any rodent infestations. To protect your dog in the colder months, try limiting outdoors time in the winter and keep an eye on their paws. Dogs can suffer from cracked pads in the winter, so trim the hair between their paws. It is also important to rinse and wipe your dog’s feet to remove any salt. ❄️

With the large amounts of recent snowfall, it's a good idea to shovel a path in the yard so your dog has a safe, flat area to relieve themselves outside. This also allows for easier waste removal so that it doesn't build up over the winter hidden under the snow.

Do you have a bird feeder outside? Feeding the wild birds is beneficial to the bird population. A bird needs to eat at least half their body weight in food per day to survive.
