Don C. Beringer, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who provides expert treatment for the residents of Cherokee County and North Georgia. He practices at Arthritis and Total Joint Specialists in Woodstock and offers highly acclaimed orthopaedic care for a wide range of hip, knee, and shoulder disorders.
Dr. Beringer’s expertise includes complex joint revision procedures, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, and other advanced surgical techniques. He’s passionate about delivering the most effective therapies and surgical interventions available. His goal is to decrease pain, optimize function, and help ensure his patients and their families have an overall positive experience under his care.
This talented surgeon graduated magna cum laude from University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He received his orthopaedic surgical training at a prestigious orthopaedic specialty hospital affiliated with Summa Health Systems in Northeast Ohio. He then completed a fellowship program in musculoskeletal oncology and limb reconstruction at the University of Florida.
He’s dedicated to advancing the understanding of complex orthopaedic surgical techniques in his professional community and serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine. He’s also an associate editor for Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, which is a leading international publication for orthopaedic specialists.
Dr. Beringer performs most of his surgeries at Northside Hospital in Cherokee and Forsyth counties. He’s an active researcher who’s very interested in computer-assisted joint replacement surgery, the prevention of post-surgical deep vein thrombosis, and cost-effective health care.
He’s also passionate about educating his patients and helping them become experts at understanding their own musculoskeletal health. Patients can always rely on Dr. Beringer to use effective, safe, and advanced surgical approaches that minimize pain and accelerate recovery.
