Today....At the end of my Open House in Taylor, a 3 year old Alayna in a pretty Christmas skirt with white dots, a red top and a red bow in her curly locks of dark brown hair told me she had a present for me. Her Mom printed these bookmarks with a special message and Alayna put a gold ribbon on the back. “YOU ARE LOVED!”
In her little girl voice she said “God loves you!”
I told her that I know, because I asked Him to live with me in my heart.
When asked about what she wanted for Christmas she said, “oh we take presents to people who don’t even have a home. Target helps us find presents and we make them pretty with bows to take to people.”
We had such a fun time picking up pecans around my real estate listing, teaching her about the pecans, sharing stories and many laughs.
Yep! God loves you too Alayna!
What a sweet blessing God gave me through that family. And, they love the house too!👍🏻❤️

What to Do Before You Sell
Atom Data reports, thanks to rising median home prices nationwide, home sellers pocketed a $68,843 profit on the typical home sale in 2020, the most since 2005. The 34.7% return on investment (ROI) was the highest since 2006.
Home seller profits went up in more than 90% of the markets evaluated, and both profits and ROI have now grown nationwide nine years in a row. Yet people are staying in their homes longer—average tenure hit 8.33 years in Q4 of 2020.
Realtor.com’s Housing Market Recovery Index stayed above its pre-pandemic baseline, all measures, except new listings, growing faster than a year ago. They see the housing market “in position for further growth this spring.”

I saw this on NextDoor Neighbor:
Nest thermostats and power outages. I have a Nest thermostat, and every time the power goes out, which now seems to be every 5 to 7 minutes, there is a 3 minute delay for the furnace to restart. There is a work-around for it, at least sort of. Go to Settings, scroll until you get to Reset, push it and tell it to restart. Turn your wheel until the whole semi-circle turns blue and it reads “ok”. It takes a minute to restart, and your furnaces comes on. It gives you about two extra minutes of heat in between power blips. My house was down to 59 this morning, and after doing this 3 or 4 times, it’s gone up 4 degrees. You have to do this every single time there’s a power blip. We shall all survive.
Edited to add - I finally discovered that if you change the temperature just a bit, right after a power blip, the furnace kicks right on without having to restart. Of course, that means running to the thermostat every few minutes, but I do need that exercise, and it gives just a little more warming time in between power blips. This is not fun!

Austin water is being shut off. Even hospitals!
Leander and Georgetown on boil water notice. We/you could be next. Start saving water in your bath tubs and whatever bowls /pots you can. You will need buckets to thaw snow( if our water gets turned off) so that you can flush toilets and wash dishes.
Broken pipes and everyone dripping is causing water to be turned off and low to no water pressure. When busted pipes start thawing... more drain from water sources occur, so have future back up plan if no water.
