Dr. Gossman received a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the State University of New York, completed an internship in Surgery in Buffalo, New York and additional training in Neurosurgery at Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. An Ophthalmology residency was completed at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation followed by a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Gossman joined the University of Louisville in 1986 and established the first full-time Oculoplastic Surgery Service serving as its director. Thereafter he opened a private practice. As member of the clinical faculty of plastic surgery at the University of Louisville, Dr.Gossman maintains a research interest in facial reanimation.
The author of numerous articles and a lecturer on the subjects of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Oculoplastic Surgery, he is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
