Ahmet Ergin, MD, CCD, ECNU, is an endocrinologist at Heart & Family Health Institute. He earned his medical degree with honors at Marmara University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey, and completed internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology and holds subspecialty certifications for Clinical Densitometry (DXA) for bone density and osteoporosis as well as ECNU for endocrine neck ultrasound and biopsies.
Dr. Ergin practices general endocrinology and his special interests include diabetes management utilizing the latest technology such as artificial pancreas technology, insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring. Dr. Ergin also enjoys thyroid disease management including but not limited to thyroid nodule and thyroid cancers.
Dr. Ergin is the main co-author of the book named ?The Cleveland Clinic Manual of Dynamic Endocrine Testing? and has co-authored many articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Endocrine Practice, Journal of Otolaryngology, Journal of thyroid research, Journal of Sarcoidosis and interstitial lung disease and Case Reports in Medicine.
He is a member of the Endocrine Society and The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Dr. Ergin sees patients from Stuart, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie and Okeechobee.
In his free time, he enjoys, boating, paddle boarding, kite surfing, fishing and having good time with friends on the weekends.
