Backed by an extensive education and a considerable amount of field experience, Dr. Angela Reiter offers help to families that suffer from the challenges of ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and other disorders of the mind. Dr. Angela Reiter’s current practice was designed to offer both therapy and evaluative testing for individuals, couples and families in need of assistance. Working with individuals ages six and up, Dr. Reiter strives to help people move towards a state of calm and confidence while instilling highly-effective coping mechanisms and teaching tools for individual success.
Educational Background
Dr. Reiter began her educational journey at the University of Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She then extended her education at The Florida School of Professional Psychology, where she earned both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. To round out her educational path, she served her clinical internship training in the Residential Treatment Facility for Adolescent Males at MercyFirst in Syosset, New York.
Clinical Experience And Knowledge
Armed with a passion for helping those in need of mental health services, Dr. Reiter used what she learned through her education and postdoctoral training within the mobile crisis unit and the ACT team at Coney Island Hospital. She then extended her mental health care experience by offering therapy to elderly patients at Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Bronx. She also gained extensive knowledge through her work there and in White Plains, where her career took her from assisting adults with chronic pain and PTSD symptoms to offering therapy and testing to patients in a group practice setting.
Our Eastchester Clinic
While working as a consultant for the Catholic Guardian Society and Home Bureau, where she conducted psychological evaluations with adolescent girls, Dr. Reiter founded her clinical office in Eastchester.
It is through this current location that Dr. Reiter and her team strive to assist those with ADHD, learning disabilities, depression and anxiety, OCD issues and oppositional behaviors. Treating individuals, ages six and up, the doctor and her associates offer therapy sessions and neuropsychological and psychoeducational testing. Families and couples are also encouraged to seek assistance and counseling through the clinic.
