Barry Mills, M.D., is a gastroenterologist with Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties integrated within Baptist Health South Florida. He is Board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines and biliary system. Dr. Mills obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Boston College, in Chestnut Hill, graduating magna cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society in recognition of his academic achievements. Dr. Mills attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed residencies in internal medicine and gastroenterology as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Early in his career, Dr. Mills practiced at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, and held such leadership roles as vice president of medical staff, chief of staff and chairman of the gastroenterology department. Prior to joining Baptist Health, he served as chairman of gastroenterology at Melbourne Internal Medicine. He has published peer-reviewed articles on such as renal disease and gastrointestinal tract disorders. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and Florida Medical Association.
