Last week our choir, unable to sing together since COVID, came together for a truly wonderful evening of musical learning and listening together on Zoom.
First, we listened together to 'Sitivit Anima Mea' by Palestrina, and 'Just Constellations' by Roomful of Teeth, songs two of our members picked out and wanted to share with us.

Next, we so enjoyed learning and practicing diction with Sylvia Rivers, adjunct faculty of music at Austin College, where we practiced our consonants and vowels, and talked about singing during COVID.
Keep up with us as we continue growing musically together, even when we can't yet safely do that in person ❤ - MMT
While we are on a COVID-related group singing hiatus, we are staying connected with music and with each other by engaging in other singing related activities via Zoom. Yesterday we had a fantastic online lesson on the basics of diction. We all now know the difference between voiced (like “B”) and unvoiced consonants (like “P”). So interesting.
Madrigal Mystery Tour may be on a COVID-induced hiatus, but that isn’t stopping us from finding other ways to sing as a group! Here are two of our members recording “Weep, O Mine Eyes” for mixing with the others. Results will be posted in a bit!

What Your Favorite Requiem Mass Says About You
We had not one but TWO social distance hangs going on this past Wednesday, appropriately spaced and wonderfully connected all at the same time. Our weekly choir zooms are centering and keep our community alive and strong <3
Vowel practice this week, y'all! Thank you Sylvia (Austin College) for another great diction lesson!
You haven’t seen intense competition until you’ve seen a choir play Zoom holiday carol trivia...😅
The 🦠pandemic🦠 nixed this year’s caroling season, but that only makes us more excited about planning ahead for Q4 2021! 💉😮🎶
Happy holidays from the Madrigal Mystery Tour! 🎄🕎🎉
