To all of our patients, we want to thank you for your understanding and patience during this historic time throughout our nation. We want to also let you know that we have chosen to continue with the guidelines that have been set by the A.D.A. (American Dental Association) and Governor Holcomb's orders and will continue to postpone all non-essential appointments until April 6, 2020. Please feel free to leave any non-emergent questions on our answering machine regarding any scheduling or billing questions you may have. My personal cell phone number will continue to be available through our office answering machine should you be in pain and need immediate assistance. One of my staff members will be there daily, checking messages and returning your calls. Thank you again for your understanding and I look forward to the day when I can see you all again.
To any employers that have laid off employees because of the corona virus:
If you are an employer in Fort Wayne that had to lay off someone that you know is in need of urgent dental care, please reach out to my office personally. Through you we will arrange to make contact with those individuals. I’d like provide relief where its most needed in these trying times. We ask that you limit these requests to people suffering with pain or swelling. There will be no commitment on your part whatsoever.

In accordance with the updated guidelines of the Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association, we will be rescheduling elective appointments for the next 3 weeks. Our staff will be reaching out to you to make those adjustments. We will do our best to return all calls and messages promptly. As always will be available should you need urgent care.
There are a couple interesting things to note. Early last week we started screening patients and resolved to taking everyone’s temperature with digital thermometers. No one had an elevated temperature. No one reported any concerning recent history correlating with Covid-19 associated risks.
Lastly, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of my patients and staff. You have all been extremely patient and accepting of the new policies and procedures we have implemented these last couple of weeks. I had no idea how it would be received, but everyone has been fantastic. I am truly Blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
Yours always,
Dr. David Slyby
