“What is Vaser?”
This is a question I get asked quite often and there is a lot confusion about what Vaser is and what it does. I’d like to clear up the confusion and tell you how I use Vaser in my practice.
Vaser is ultrasonic energy that has been used as a preparatory step with liposuction for 20 years. It is used under the skin to emulsify fat and give it a buttery texture to help with removal. Vaser also helps release fibrosis to improve cellulite. It is a fundamental tool in my circumferential multi-step approach to liposuction. I’ve performed over 1000 Vaser surgeries for Lipedema out of my over 3000 Lipedema surgeries; it is incredibly safe and very effective.

I am so happy to see research and science advancing for Lipedema. This new research helps to further establish Lipedema as a recognized disease with a genetic basis.
We must continue to advance the awareness and education of this misunderstood disease among the general public, the medical community and insurance companies in hopes to get Lipedema treatment covered, as it should be.

My vibrant father has been and continues to be the most amazing father a son ever could hope to have. His love, support, compassion and strength of character continues to be an inspiration and guiding light for my life. He was an loving, devoted husband for 75 years to my mother, who recently passed. He is a friend and confidante to my wife, a playful loving grandfather to my children, and a role model of what a “good man” is to all.
He has taught me with his words, and showed me with his actions and how he lives his life to be a good man. He has taught me integrity, passion, compassion, and sensitivity. He has taught me to set high standards, responsibility, to always do the right thing, and to not compromise my values. He has shown me how to be a good father and a good husband. He has supported me in so many ways throughout my life. I am grateful, proud and blessed to have him as my father.

This is most important for a female in that it’s essential to preserve a natural feminine look. Otherwise, the female body can begin to look almost masculinized. With Natural Def Lipo, I’m following the natural contours and muscle shape rather than creating artificial definition in something like ab-etching or ab-sculpting.
I performed Natural Def Lipo on this patient’s abdomen and flanks. Rather than focusing on etching and creating imitation abs, we focused on giving her the most natural results possible. While every patient is different and has their own unique features, the goal is always to approach a person’s body from a standpoint of harmony and balance.

In this video I’m using multi-step liposuction under twilight sedation to not only remove the lipedema fat but to fully release the fibrous tissue and to decongest. This will give both a beautiful cosmetic result and alleviate the patient’s pain.
