4. If you have glasses or contacts ordered, please be assured we are working as quickly as we can, but many of our distributors were also affected by the storm, and shipping can be delayed. We will call you once your order is ready to pickup.

Dr. Fitzgerald has been in the eye care profession for over 30 years. A graduate of the College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, she got into the profession because of her passion for helping people. "The eyes are the windows to the body," she says. "So many things can be seen and diagnosed with a thorough eye exam."
The doctor has been providing eye care to the Corridor community since she moved to Cedar Rapids in 1984. When asked about her future goals, Dr. Fitzgerald replies that they are, "To continue to grow and contribute through my passion for my career." She currently offers patients examinations, diagnoses and treatments for the management of vision diseases and disorders. Dr. Fitzgerald is always investigating and investing in the latest eye care technology to provide the best state-of-the-art patient care possible.

Congratulations to Dr. Hotsenpiller for earning her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry! In order to meet these requirements, she has written five case reports about patients with corneal conditions who required specialty contact lenses in order to see well. After her written reports were approved by the committee, she had an oral exam in which she was evaluated on how she solved each patient's problem.
"Fitting specialty contact lenses on patients with corneal conditions can be challenging. Earning my fellowship has given me the opportunity to better serve the needs of my patients and improve their quality of life. Becoming proficient with scleral lenses is extremely rewarding-- it is a skill set that I am truly passionate about!"

Our office has been affected by the power outage on the SW side of Cedar Rapids. We are currently without power, we will open to dispense glasses and contacts.
