Dr. Jonah Barasz grew up in Guilford, Connecticut. He attended Colby College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in BioChemistry. After graduating, Dr. Barasz attended The Ohio State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Chemistry. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, specialty residency training in Periodontics, and Master’s of Dental Science degree at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (UConn). During his time at UConn he served as the chief resident.
Dr. Barasz is passionate about providing patient-centered periodontal and implant therapy. He takes great pride in listening to each patient’s needs and concerns, and takes the time to educate them about their treatment. Of particular interest to Dr. Barasz are oral rehabilitation, esthetic implant placement, and oral plastic surgery.
Dr Barasz serves his community in several ways including his commitment as an officer in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He also serves as vice-President for the Connecticut Society of Periodontists.
When not in the office, Dr. Barasz loves spending time with his family. He stays active by playing tennis, golf, running, and participating in the martial arts.
