Cook Children’s Trophy Club will close at noon on Wednesday and reopen Monday at 8:00 am. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. 🦃
As Thanksgiving Day draws near, we urge everyone to limit the size of gatherings and maintain physical distancing with each other especially when eating. Our furry, four-legged friends of the Sit...Stay...Play program have come to our assistance again to demonstrate what we should and shouldn't do when eating with others. Please be safe!

FYI - Zoom has no time restrictions on Thanksgiving. It’s really easy to set up a meeting on their site.
This is a great way for multiple homes to experience turkey day together. 🙂

Here are 3 things that you don't have to say in my office:
1) "I didn't treat their fever because I wanted you to see it." I trust you. And I don't want your child to be miserable. And it's much harder to examine a fussy baby. So treat them. Please. If you don't trust me to trust you, you might be with the wrong doctor.
2) (Related to 1): "I promise they had fever at home but I gave them Tylenol." Again I trust you. And whether it was 103.5 or 102.1 or 99 here, I'm still thinking and investigating like they had fever...because you told me they have fever. That's all I needed to hear.
3) "They didn't sleep all night and I had to wake them up from a nap to get here." While I can't always accommodate this, I would love for you to call in this instance and say, "They just fell asleep and have been up all night, do you have anything available later?" I would love to get this call and have a chance to do my best. Because when baby didn't sleep, parents didn't sleep either.
So, let's be a team with the ultimate goal of making your child healthy AND as happy as we can. Trust is the key.

Trophy Club Water is Safe!
The City of Fort Worth has extended the boil water advisory to our area. HOWEVER, the Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 treats the water received from Fort Worth and want to assure the residents of Trophy Club that the TC MUD No.1 customers water is still SAFE.
Power outages and freezing temperatures have made it difficult for Fort Worth Water to keep up with demand and the TC MUD No. 1 is asking everyone to conserve water as they work through these issues. Thank you for your patience.
If you have any questions, please contact the MUD No. 1 directly at 682-831-4600 for water or wastewater emergencies. They are receiving higher numbers of calls during this time and appreciate your patience. Read the official release from the City of Fort Worth HERE: https://bit.ly/3rXn97F

We are making important updates to our visitor policy. These changes will go into effect Monday, March 8, 2021, at 5 a.m.
In an effort to protect our patients, their families and our health care staff, masks will continue to be required for everyone over the age of 2 entering Cook Children’s locations. For more information, please visit www.cookchildrens.org/COVID19.
We know this is a difficult situation, but we are continuing to do everything we can to keep everyone safe!

Wearing masks will continue to be required at all Cook Children's locations. In light of recent announcements from city, county and state officials around mask mandates, we wanted to share the following:
Masks are still required for everyone entering a Cook Children’s location, including caregivers and employees, and those who have been vaccinated.
Why are we doing this?
· We are continuing to follow the guidelines and recommendations from the CDC, other science-based organizations, and our medical experts.
· More infectious variants are circulating in Texas, and millions more people need to be vaccinated.
· We know that wearing masks work in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Thank you for understanding, and for helping us protect our patients, families and employees.
Happy International Day of Awesomeness!!
