Lester Carrodeguas, M.D., is a family medicine physician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in primary care, treating a wide range of health problems, including simple to complex health concerns, including asthma and diabetes, heart disease, internal medicine, disease prevention, health-risk assessments and healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Carrodeguas received his medical degree from the Universidad Autόnoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine, in Guadalajara, Mexico. He held post-doctoral research fellowships at The Ohio State University Hospital and Arthur James Comprehensive Cancer Institute. He completed a clinical research fellowship at The Bariatric Institute – Cleveland Clinic Florida, a general surgery internship and residency at Berkshire Medical Center/University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a family medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Hoboken University Medical Center. Dr. Carrodeguas is an assistant professor of medicine at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
