Dr. Silpa attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for his undergraduate degree, Medical School, and Gastroenterology Fellowship. He was an Intern and Medical Resident at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, and served as Highland’s Chief Medical Resident. He has published research papers and abstracts on diverse topics including Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Therapeutic Endoscopy, NSAID Gastritis, Gastrointestinal Infections, and the Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Dr. Silpa holds a Third Degree Black Belt in Karate and is an accomplished ballroom dancer.
