Dr. Prasad's expertise enables him to address the distress that his patients face with ease. He holds a bachelor degree in economics from Michigan State University and has completed his doctoral training in St. Matthews Medical School. Dr. Prasad embarked upon his clinical training at Detroit Medical Center through Wayne State and Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed an additional year of training in psychopharmacology research under the revered John Davis, MD at University of Illinois Hospital where he performed clinical work for treating psychosis and mood disorders in both outpatient and inpatient clinics.
Dr. Prasad completed 4 years of residency training through the Chicago Medical School at Elgin State Hospital, Lake County Community Health Center, the North Chicago VA Hospital, and Great Lakes Naval Hospital. He is an official member of the Academy of Sports Psychiatry and is passionate about treating ADHD, mood disorders, psycho-oncology, bariatric psychiatry and various challenges related to adolescence.
