Philip Azordegan, MD
Dr. Azordegan's father, who is a neurosurgeon, had a big influence on him. His father would come home and talk about interesting cases and Dr. Azordegan was fascinated by the diagnoses and treatments that were available in neurosurgery. Dr. Azordegan has practiced neurosurgery for almost 25 years now. Even though his practice is mainly spine and peripheral nerve, he also enjoys doing cranial surgery.
Dr. Azordegan was born and raised in Jackson. He left Mississippi to do his medical school training at Johns Hopkins University and an internship and residency in the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also completed rotations through MD Anderson Cancer Center.
