Dr. Hobbs received his medical education at The Brody School of Medicine at ECU. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Virginia Tech Carilion. The doctor studied plastic surgery at the Salem VA medical center during his training.

After completion of his training he went into the Air Force and after being Honorably discharged he went on to become a professor at the UNC School of Medicine. He loves giving back working at free clinics and filling in at hospitals in the eastern part of t
