Dr. Shelby received his medical degree from Jordan University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brown University and his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas-Galveston. His extensive training and research in ERCP and endoscopy ultrasound earned him the Endoscopic Research Award from the American Soceity of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Shelby was chosen for an advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship at Harvard University, where he developed expertise in pancreato-billiary diseases and gastrointestinal cancers. His advanced training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston was dedicated to performing pancreato-billiary endoscopies and endoscopic ultrasound procedures. He serves as a speaker focusing on colon cancer for the American Cancer Society. Dr. Shelby is on the medical staff of the San Ramon Regional Medical Center, ValleyCare Health System, John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health Systems, and San Ramon Endocscopy Center.
