Yeisel Barquin, M.D., is an internal medicine physician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of health issues, including simple and complex health concerns, obesity, women’s health, chronic disease management, disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Barquin received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she also worked as a research assistant in the neurology department. She is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was named the American College of Physicians’ Outstanding Medical Student for Excellence in Internal Medicine. Dr. Barquin completed a residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining Baptist Health, she worked at Graves-Gilbert Clinic in Bowling Green, Ky. Board-certified in internal medicine, she is a member of the American Medical Association.
