YURI M. KIM, DO
Dr. Yuri M. Kim is a dermatologist born in Southern California and raised in Yonkers, New York and Troy, Michigan. She returned to her roots completing her undergraduate studies in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the University of Southern California. She received her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She then went on to Larkin Hospital located in South Miami, which hosts one of the few inpatient dermatology units in the United States, to pursue her internship and dermatology training. She trained in the top academic facilities in South Miami where skin cancer and cosmetics are in high demand becoming an expert in these areas. Dr. Kim has proudly scored in the top percentile nationwide consistently on the annual American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology Exam during her residency. Dr. Kim had the honor to serve as chief resident during her final year of her training.
Dr. Kim is very excited to be joining Skin & Beauty Center. Her top priority is to provide compassionate care utilizing the latest state-of-the-art advances in the field of dermatology. She attends multiple conferences yearly to stay up to date with the most cutting-edge techniques and treatments to provide her patients with the best care possible. Dr. Kim has published numerous articles in several well-respected, peer-reviewed dermatology journals throughout her career. Dr. Kim’s interests include medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology including Mohs surgery.
Dr. Kim is fluent in English, Korean and conversational Spanish. When not working, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and enjoying the outdoors of southern California.
