The device fits on my upper and lower teeth. This device is for sleep apnea. Since the first of April a dentist would sit me in a chair as he sat in another chair to loosen this device. I told him that the device caused sore spots in the lower left side of my jaw and upper right side and lower right side of my jaw. It also caused pain in my upper teeth. And my lower back teeth bled and it was very painful to floss. He turned his head as he looked my mouth as he sat his his chair. Then stated that it wasn't the device. It wasn't the device. It was something else that had caused the problem. Then he abruptly left and came back with a longer extension bar for my lower teeth. When my husband extended the longer bar I still experienced the same pain. I felt impressed on May 28, 20`9 to go to Dr. Lucero, my established dentist of 15+ years. He did not expect me. But when I told what I had experienced he didn't turn me away. He was always thorough and his dental dental procedures were always well done. Although he had had never seen the device before he took the time to figure out how the tiny pins worked to shorten or to lengthen the device. Then several times in the dentist chair I would be put back and the device put into my mouth so he could see why it caused me pain. This is what he told me to tell the dentist: The left lower side of of the acrylic device does not touch my upper teeth. There is a space of less than 1/8" Then the the right lower side touches my upper teeth. He suggested that I tell the dentist to have the lab either shave the lower right side of the acrylic or add acrylic to the lower left side. so they are even. If I had not trusted qqDr. Lucero's judgment I would not have had these results for the lab. He did not charge me anything for an hour of his time. Karen Dimmick 11/17/2020 On Tuesday I went to Draper Dental to have a crown cemented on again. I asked Dr. Lucero to look at a tooth on the upper right side of my mouth that caused me to be in pain. He looked at it and said, "I know what's wrong." He then did a procedure on the tooth and gum. I no longer was in pain!! Before he cemented on my crown he sanded my chipped tooth so it no longer had sharp edges. When I went to pay him for almost an hour in the dental chair they said no charge!! I was astounded at his charity. No I mistake because this isn't the first time he has said "no charge" Karen Dimmick 11/25/2020 My crown came off again because of the device I wear over my teeth for sleep apnea. Dr. Lucero sanded down the part of the device that caused the crown to come off and then cemented my crown. I went again to ask how much an hour of his time would be and again he said, "no charge". President Dallan Oaks said that "Charity is a state of being." He is a person who possesses charity! He doesn't care for the almighty dollar but, sincerely cares for his patients and wants to do what his right for each one! Oh, how I love all he has done for me without the $$$ signs.
