Proper foot care is crucial to ones daily regimen especially those who are suffering from diabetes. Proper inspection of feet can alert individuals to changes, such as cuts, bruises, scrapes ,scratches, open sores etc.
How should you care for your feet .
Whether you get your feet professionally done or perform your own self care, you should always ensure, nail clippers, files, scrub board, razor and or pedicure baths are clean; and proper sterilization is maintained .
Examine your feet daily.
Nails should be trimmed,filed and maintained.
Wear loose fitting cotton socks.
Feet are moisturized to prevent cracks and tears,avoiding moisture between toes .
Corn, and calluses are maintained by a licensed professional.
Bunions and Gout are addressed.
Carefully Drying between toes after shower.
Frequently changing socks and air out shoes to prevent fungus infection.
Wearing proper feet attire.
Avoid sharing foot wear
Choose breathable footwear for sweaty feet.

Our aim at Dream Healthcare Services is to make our Clients feel loved, accepted, and has freedom to be involved in their Care. Seniors are often reluctant to hire a Home care nurse or HomeCare services to assist them with ADL’s,for they assume they loose independence or has a disability. Aging is inevitable and statistics have shown that baby boomers are the fastest growing population in the United states. By the year 2029, 20% of the population will be over the age of 65, so yes seniors will need care, whether in home care, hospitals, Assisted living facilities or LTC’s. Seniors need to be educated on the importance of hiring caregivers to provide them with the assistance they need in order to live a fulfilled sustained life. Hiring the right Care givers can be challenging, but I assure you that DreamHealth Care Services provides quality, dependable , and Reliable home care, and we give Client the freedom to always be at the forefront of their Care
