Dear DTA Families & Friends,
DTA will be closing its current location effective December 1, 2020. The good news is that we are in the planning phase for a larger facility with at least one full court.
When we first started DTA in 2017, we knew there was a strong market for youth basketball training in the area. Once we gained a loyal following and had success in our basketball skills training model, our clients provided consistent feedback that our space was too small to fully supply the full demand for our services. We often had more demand than we could satisfy given our restricted court space. Despite our space limitations, we were able to thrive as a startup business, especially this past summer during Covid with our private trainings.
Unfortunately, once school returned to in-person last month, we noticed a significant drop in our private trainings, small group trainings, clinics, camps and club teams. The uncertainty around Covid all led to restricted hours of operation, more caution among parents/staff, and limited availability of our coaches. Therefore, we thought it was the right time to regroup, reduce our expenses, and prepare for our expansion plan once Covid resolves itself.
This was a difficult and emotional conclusion, but we made the tough decision. This closure will offer us time to identify the perfect, larger space with a full court while we all get past this pandemic. We don’t know how long this pandemic will last, but we do know that a larger facility will be a huge success for the DTA family and community when the time is right.
