Drkula's Junior Bowling Club September 22 at 1:42 PM · We still have room in the youth league that is starting this Saturday. We are going to split the leagues into two shifts which allows us to social distance from one another. The Juniors (Grades 7-12) start practice at 8:50am and start bowling at 9:00am. The preps ( Grades 1-6) and bumpers (Ages 4-6) will start practice at 10:45am and start league at 10:55am. If you are interested in getting your child into the league let us know. After spending some time reflecting on the incident that occurred over the weekend, I wanted to take a minute to make a public statement to let the community know where we stand. First off, we acknowledge the seriousness of the incident and are not taking this lightly. We regret that such an incident occurred within our establishment and apologized to those directly involved. I offer my sincere apologies to anyone else who has been affected by the situation. We fully believe it is our responsibility to ensure a safe and non-threatening environment for all our patrons. While we cannot control the words spoken within our establishment, we can remove them as we do not support racism in any form or fashion. Of course, the quickest way to address this type of behavior from anyone is to remove them from our establishment. I will share, after reviewing the video footage, the manager was engaged within 2 minutes to address the confrontation and the man was out of the building within 12 minutes and is not welcomed back ever. We are committed to training all of our employees and will move forward by reviewing and enhancing our employment training focusing specifically on how to handle these situations. Drkula's Bowl opens their doors and welcomes everybody. We will continue to support our community, our patrons and our employees to ensure everyone can feel welcomed and safe in our establishment. It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Jeanne Morrow. Our beloved friend and co-worker has passed unexpectedly. Jeanne has been a part of our staff for over 16 years. We will forever be grateful for her dedication and years of service. Her infectious laugh and smile will be missed but not forgotten.
