Some systems have a pump to keep waste water moving out into the drain field. These pumps have control floats which ensure that a specific volume (or “dose”) of sewage is sent to the drain field regularly.
When something isn’t working properly, or when the septic tank is too full, an alarm will activate. If this happens, call us right away. Once this alarm is activated, there is some emergency storage space available in the pump tank before the system overflows or backs up into the house.
