We spend a lot of time cleaning our teeth, but do we ever take the time to clean and disinfect the tools we use on them? You should to cut down on harmful germs and bacteria. Try soaking your toothbrush in mouthwash, such as Listerine, for several minutes, but not too long because bristles can break down if left overnight. You can also try an at-home mixture: mix two teaspoons of baking soda into one cup of water and soak your brush in this solution for several minutes. Make sure to change the solution daily so as not to spread further germs. Starting the precedent of cleaning your oral tools will only lead to a healthier and, therefore, happier smile.
It's true! Records dating back to the 7th century show the Etruscans made partial dentures. They did this by using both human and animal teeth fastened together with bands of gold. It makes you thankful for all the advancements in modern dental practices, huh?😱

Enjoy the first day of autumn. It's time to look forward to your first pumpkin spiced latte of the season! And before you say anything, yes we understand those lattes have a "latte" sugar.😜 But we want you to also realize it's OK to live your life. We at Duvall don't want anyone to deprive themselves of something they love. Eat and drink in moderation, then brush your teeth! Floss, too. 😉
Your toothbrush is arguably the most valuable tool on your oral health journey, but making sure that your brush is helping and not harming your teeth and gums is just as important. Toothbrushes tend to get frayed and worn. That's because our teeth have lots of bumps and crevices so your brush endures quite a bit. Make sure your toothbrush is up to the task by replacing it every three to four months and you can rest assured you are doing right by your teeth.
The days of your granddad's ill-fitting dentures are over. We offer the most natural-looking teeth with modern dental advancements. We can do conventional full and partial dentures, implant dentures, and replacement teeth made with our innovative Turbyfill denture technique. Left untreated, gum disease can escalate to tenderness, bleeding, and pockets that will eventually form under the gums leading to decay and infection. But all that can be avoided by regular brushing, flossing, and a quick easy trip to our office for some gum R&R. We have effective techniques to get your gums back to feeling like normal, including a deep cleaning with scaling, followed by a root planing. Lastly, a CTx4 rinse, three times a week to rid gum disease, will bring balance back to your mouth.
It's true! Diseases like diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, leukemia, oral cancer, and pancreatic cancer are some that can originate from oral issues. Taking good care of your teeth should not just be for aesthetic reasons but also, and more importantly, for the health of your whole body.
