The first LED watches were incredibly expensive, so the average consumer could not afford to buy one. But that changed in 1975 when Texas Instruments mass produced LED watches in plastic cases, and could sell their product for only $20.
Wrist watches that require winding can often be subject to inaccuracy, and running a little late or early is quite common with these watches. Fortunately, most automatic watches can be wound using a rotating winder, which incites oscillation movement and thus recharging.
