Updated Coronavirus Message
Dear DI Friends and Family,
Our local and global communities are experiencing growing concerns about the coronavirus. Here at DI we understand that you may have specific questions about how to keep your family safe and healthy, as well as ease any related anxiety your children may be feeling.
DI continues to monitor this situation closely as it is quickly evolving. Based on up-to-date, reliable guidance and our ongoing best practices we remain open at this time.
We are passionate about the well-being of our clients and their families, and you are our priority. Even before the coronavirus our offices were regularly cleaned and sanitized. Since coronavirus we have increased the frequency of cleanings. We still have hand sanitizer available to everyone in our offices.
We continue to refer to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other trusted public health agencies to determine the most accurate information and safest course of action.
We will continue to use the following steps:
• Between individual and group client sessions and at the end of every day we will sanitize:
o Offices
o Door handles
o Surfaces
o Toys
o Other counseling materials
o Other office items
• Regular hand washing for at least 20 seconds
• Staying home when sick
The majority of our groups are scheduled to resume the week of April 13th. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep all of you informed should they need to be pushed back.
If any of our individual clients are concerned about coming into the office we are happy to offer a tele-health option (video or phone) in the meantime.
To help with any anxiety your young (or not-so-young) children – or even the adults in your home - may be experiencing, we offer this wonderful comic for kids explaining the coronavirus from NPR and a Parent Guide from the National Association of School Psychologists.

It is our honor to serve and support you. We extend our most sincere wishes for wellness during this challenging time, now and always.

Why telehealth for children is important for you, the parent.
Life has changed for parents who may be working remotely and managing the home with children present. The new challenges can be stressful, confusing and tiring. Creating this balance is necessary, and the specific needs of your child(ren) may require a personalized strategy to support your family.
As the parent, you can schedule telehealth appointments for your child while access to schools and clinics remains limited or while your community is under a Stay-At-Home order.
Call us today at 661-257-1254 to discuss your family’s personalized support strategy, or use the Contact form on our website to connect with us.
