Eagan Pointe Senior Living associates recently held a tenant appreciation luncheon for our amazing community members. Our kitchen staff created a delicious meal of Italian cuisine, which we then served door-to-door to each tenant. They loved the meal and warm greetings from our associates. Following the luncheon, one resident sent us a handwritten thank you note, which we always love!

The munchies menu included mini donuts, corn dogs, cheese curds, and deep-fried Snickers on a stick.

More Halloween fun to close out the month of October! We held a "zombie hunt" activity where residents searched for hidden "zombies" all around Eagan Pointe. The hunt was successful and the participants received yummy caramel apples as their prize.

We certainly got into the Halloween spirit here at Eagan Pointe last month! Several residents made Halloween lanterns of either Frankenstein's monster, a ghost, or a more classic jack-o'-lantern. We also made treat bags for students at the nearby St. John Neumann Preschool. In return, they gave us handcrafted pumpkins for a pumpkin patch. And since they couldn't join us in-person, they also sent us photos of the children all dressed up for a "costume parade." Thank you so much for the kind, fun, and festive gifts - they're the perfect Halloween decorations for us all to admire and enjoy!

After celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary, Eagan Pointe couple Stuart and Frances U. sent a lovely thank you note to our Residence Director, Renee:
"Thank you for honoring us on our 70th anniversary. It was a highlight of our day, since we couldn’t have a party or celebrate with our families and friends due to the pandemic.
I remember what you said, Renee, when we moved into our apartment 5-1/2 years ago: 'Now this is your new home at Eagan Pointe, and the people living here will be like a new family.'
How true this has turned out to be!
We thank you and the staff for taking time off from their work, taking pictures, singing an anniversary song, and for the delicious cake we shared with some of our neighbors.

One of Eagan Pointe’s resident couples, Stuart and Frances U., had their 70th wedding anniversary on January 18! To help them celebrate such an amazing day, our residents and associates sang “Happy Anniversary” and presented them with a cake to enjoy together. Where did you meet?
We’ve known each other since we were children attending different grade schools, but we started dating when Frances became a teacher at the county school in Lennox, South Dakota.
Where did you get married?
St. Magdalen’s Catholic Church in Lennox.
What is your secret for being married 70 years?
Patience, fortitude, and putting the other head of yourself.

While we couldn't have a big gathering like previous years, we still had some fun to welcome in 2021 here at Eagan Pointe! We brought a New Year's Eve happy hour cart around to each unit and served olives, cheese, crackers, and, of course, champagne. Members from our Garden Cove apartments also made New Year's Eve party hats to show off during their sparkling cider toast that evening. We hope you all had a safe and very happy New Year! 🥂🎉

Santa had his hands full last month, but we were lucky to have Mrs. Claus stop by to visit and share gifts! In fact, she was kind enough to come by twice to ensure her Christmas cheer reached everyone at Eagan Pointe Senior Living. She visited with and delivered goodies to our Independent and Assisted Living residents one day and then came back to do the same with those members of our Garden Cove units. Thank you, Mrs. Claus! 🤶

Over the past few days, Eagan Pointe Senior Living has looked more like Santa’s workshop!
Though there’s no party this year, we’ve still been spreading holiday cheer.
The Eagan Pointe Elves decorated the lobby and made it look beautiful. Cindy, Lois, and Mari Sue were some of the folks who were busy frosting cookies, which they got to take home – yum! And Caren got creative and crafty, making this adorable mini tree from a pine cone and wine cork.
