January is Cervical Health Awareness Month! Cervical cancer used to be the leading cause of death in women in the United States; however, in the past 40 years, the number of cases of cervical cancer and the number of deaths from cervical cancer have decreased significantly. This decline largely is the result of many women getting regular Pap tests, which can find cervical precancer before it turns into cancer.
The most important thing you can do to help prevent cervical cancer is to have regular screening tests starting at age 21. Be sure to schedule your screening!
Don’t delay when it comes to your medical needs! Our providers are here and ready to help.

As we embark on spring, many of us will struggle with seasonal allergies. To help relieve seasonal allergies, check out these tips from the Mayo Clinic:
- Reduce your exposure to allergy triggers by staying indoors on dry, windy days, delegating outdoor chores such as lawn mowing, and immediately removing clothes you've worn outside.
- Take extra steps when pollen counts are high by checking local pollen forecasts and closing doors and windows at night or any other time when pollen counts are high.
- Try over-the-counter remedies. Several types of nonprescription medications can help ease allergy symptoms.
When home remedies aren't enough, see your doctor!
